Standing out in the college application is more than making good grades, volunteering, and joining a variety of clubs at school. University and scholarship committees have stacks of well-rounded applicants with these achievements.
Standing out is about doing something different from everyone else. For the student, it's about finding what makes them excited to get up in the morning, and, for the university, it's about demonstrating what they have to offer to a diverse freshman class.
I give my students the foundational support and guidance throughout our time together to help them get noticed so they can reach their full potential.
College readiness doesn't end with college acceptance.
Some students worry they aren't ready for college, even with good grades and test scores. Many students take remedial classes their freshman year costing both time and money. College is expensive enough already, and with a national 61% six-year graduation rate (NCES, 2020), it's not unreasonable to see why extracurricular activity designed to increase self-confidence and soft, transferable skills such as communication, problem-solving, flexibility, initiative and leadership is a wise investment.
I help students develop the attitudes and behavior skills so they can be their best in college and achieve their goals in life.
In addition, I can develop a personalized program to help you improve your college-level reading, writing, and research skills, organization, time-management, goal-setting, and confidence.
